Oublier was created in 2015 by Danail and Velizar out of passion for shaping things from wood. Later on Velizar left the company to focus on sculpture.
The first piece baring the Oublier name was released, showing for the first time that wood could be cut in a direction no-one thought possible. The slot for periodicals is an extreme 10 mm out of total thickness of 26.5 mm.
Danail, being an avid chess player, decided to design a set of chess pieces which pay almost no respect to tradition, yet adhere to FIDE regulations, which are as comfortable as possible to handle. In a match against a two time Bulgarian Chess Champion Elitsa Raeva, their superiority was confirmed.
